Revealed: Top 10 best players on new Fifa 15

Lionel Messi has beaten arch-rival Cristiano Ronaldo to another top billing…this time in the new Fifa 15 game.

The Barcelona striker, who missed out on the Ballon d’Or to the Real Madrid man, has been named the world’s best player in the the latest edition of the franchise which hits the shops in the UK on September 26.

Ahead of the release EA Sports published a countdown of the top 50 players in this year’s game.

Messi, with 93 points on the rating system, beat  Ronaldo (92) by just a single mark.

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben was third after being rated at 90 along with Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Manuel Neuer, who is the highest ranking goalkeeper in the game.

Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta and Luis Suarez are six and seventh on 89 points, while Bayern Munich pair Bastian Schweinsteiger and Franck Ribery (both 88) come in at eighth and ninth respectively.

Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, who has been rated as 88, is the only Premier League player to make the top 10.
