Brown Ideye finally scores first Premier League goal

Brown Ideye has finally opened his Premier League goals account as he scored a consolation goal in the 3-1 home loss to Manchester City on Friday.

City scored three first-half goals and survived a snowstorm to keep their hopes of catching Chelsea alive, as they remained just three points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea.

Fernando hooked City ahead after only eight minutes as Ben Foster dropped a Jesus Navas cross, giving the Brazilian a chance to pounce.

Yaya Toure made it 2-0 from the spot on 13 minutes after David Silva was fouled and Silva added a third on 34 minutes with a precise finish, to give the defending Champions a huge first half lead.

Heavy snow made conditions difficult after half-time and West Brom managed a late consolation when Brown Ideye netted from close range with three minutes left.

Thank God for him!
