The shot-stopper had been the subject of many meme’s on social media in the last 24-hours after the Spanish international inspired United to beat Stoke City at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
The 24-year-old produced a number of fine saves at the death in the victory that kept Louis van Gaal’s side in the Champions League positions.
And fans were quick to pay tribute to the goalkeeper on social media, with a number of images hailing his performance being posted in the hours after the game.
Former England international Neville thought he’d join in the fun and posted an image of the keeper dressed as Jesus to his 138,000 followers.
