We all know what Kian Egan, Brian McFadden, Shane Filan and Nicky Byrne have been up to since Westlife went their separate ways, but what of the band’s fifth member Mark Feehily?

Mark now selling coffee and tea from a CATERING VAN

The singer, who was a part of Westlife until they parted company in 2012, told Irish radio station Today FM that he takes the mobile business to music festivals – but his presence comes as something of a surprise to the hungry masses.

‘People were flabbergasted at the fact that I was in the van making crepes,’ he admitted.’They have this kind of thing “oh he was in Westlife a few years ago and now he’s making tea”.’

However he pointed out: ‘It’s my business and I love it, anything I get involved in I get involved 110%.

 ‘A couple of Irish people came up and were like ‘Wait a minute, what are you doing in a van? I love festivals so why not?’

Mark, who told the station that the business was going ‘really well’ revealed he hasn’t given up on music completely, and is set to launch a solo career with a sound he says will be ‘quite different to Westlife’.

He also plans to expand the catering business to include tapas and cocktails – but admits he’s not surprised people were so shocked to see him flogging tasty treats from the back of a truck.

‘Everyone thinks I just went back to my living room and sat down for the past few years,’ the 34-year-old said.

‘Just because people can’t see you doesn’t mean you’re not doing anything.’

Too right. Meanwhile, here’s a little reminder of Mark in his Westlife days. Enough with the frying without wings jokes already…
