Two female teachers arrested for allegedly having se*x with students on a beach

Two high school teachers have been arrested on suspicion of having sex with minors during two trips to the beach.

Orange County Sheriff’s Department has claimed that Melody Lippert, 38, and Michelle Ghirelli, 30, also supplied the students with alcohol on these unsanctioned trips.

Lippert apparently organised the first trip in November with an all-male group of students from South Hills High School in Covina, Los Angeles.


NBC 4 has reported that she is believed to have had sex with one of the students who is thought to be 18.

Ghirelli allegedly joined her colleague for a second overnight visit to San Clemente State Beach, where both teachers are accused of having had sex with minors.

Lippert has been charged with conspiracy and contributing to the delinquency of a minor while Ghirelli was charged with copulation and unlawful sex with students.

The two teachers have been placed on paid administrative leave awaiting the results of the investigation according to the school district spokeswoman.

Neither of the accused have been available for comment.
