British Muslims swarm to central London to protest against cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad
Around 1,000 British Muslims swarmed to central London to protest against French newspaper Charlie Hebdo depicting the Prophet Mohammad.
The crowds gathered close to 10 Downing Street carrying placards with slogans including ‘stand up for the prophet’ and ‘insult my mum and I will PUNCH you’.
Sunday’s protest organisers condemned the Paris attacks, but said the magazine should not publish cartoons of the prophet. Continue to see more photos...
Imams delivered speeches and the crowds paused to pray before handing in a petition which denounced those who had produced cartoons of the prophet to Cameron’s office – signed by more than 100,000 Muslims.
