Monday Daily Devotional By Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet 30 May, 2016) - Pay His Tithe
“Bring ye all the tithe into the store house, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall be not room enough to receive it” Malachi 3:10
Tithing is one of our responsibilities as Christians.
It is one of the mediums God blesses His children through. But funny enough, a lot of Christians find it difficult to pay their tithe because they really do not know what it does for them.
Tithing does not just ensure your increase; it is also a security guarantee.MORE: Giving Your Tithe Doesn't Help God or Your Pastors But... - David Okoye
For Malachi 3:11 says, “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field saith the LORD of hosts”.
The MSG translation puts it thus “For my part, I will defend you against marauders, protect your wheat fields and vegetable gardens against plunderers. The Message of God-of-the-Angel-Armies”.
God called himself through Prophet Malachi, the God-of-the-Angel-Armies for a reason. For a Godchild who pays his tithe, God would ensure His host of Angels protects everything that pertains to him.
You do not give God your tithe, you pay Him His tithe.
Tithe is a debt we owe God. God leaves your tithe in your hands to test the faithfulness of your stewardship.
Your tithe is the first place God tests your stewardship. A Christian who does not pay His tithe robs God. (“Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Malachi 3:6).
Quit robbing God.
Pay your tithe because only through it can you live a secured life and your domain on earth increase.
DECLARATION:
I am a faithful tither. I am disciplined in my tithes. The devourers are rebuked for my sake.
