Man wearing '#1 Dad' shirt uses daughter as human shield to avoid arrest
Probably not '#1', then.

Given the number of mugs, t-shirts and so on emblazoned with the words ‘#1 Dad’, it would seem there are lot of claimants for the title, which means we might need to go back over the criteria.

We think we can say with some certainty that a man who uses his daughter as a human shield to avoid arrest is not ‘#1 Dad’, whatever his t-shirt may claim.

Jonathan Morrow had entered the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office in Kentucky to file a protective order against his wife.

When it transpired that Morrow was wanted for drug trafficking charges in Tennessee, officers attempted an arrest.

They said when they tried to restrain him, he fled, using his daughter as a human shield to avoid being hit with a stun gun.

Rick Roberts, a local resident, said he couldn’t believe someone wearing a ‘#1 Dad’ t-shirt could do that to his daughter.

‘We only see that in places like the Middle East: ISIS, and people of that nature. It’s not kosher to me,’ he said.

Morrow is still on the run.
