Saturday Daily Devotional By Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet 25th June, 2016) - Build Your Sight
Our opening scripture tells us something important and simple but many still fail to recognize it. It is 100% possible for a God-child to faint.
2 Corinthians 5:18 tells us, “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.” God has given unto us a ministry. It is a ministry that is centered on the reconciliation of men to God.
Though we have been given this ministry, there is still a possibility to faint.
Our opening scripture tells us “SEEING” we have this ministry, we faint not. This means that we will not faint because of our sight.
Seeing the ministry, its importance and its workings we faint not. The power of your sight is what will keep you. Little wonder, God shows us the end of a thing so we would not faint with time.
Hebrews 12:2 says, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; Who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God”. The power of sight kept Jesus on that cross.
What He saw allowed Him to patiently endure the ignominy and pain connected with the suffering of death on the cross. Crucifixion at the time of Jesus was the most humiliating death any man could go through. But despise all that, Jesus did His Fathers’ will by submitting to it.
He did not focus on the pain and shame rather He had His sight fixed at the glory that would be revealed after all that. For what He saw, He fainted not and now He is glorified.
What you see determines your sustenance because your strength is tied to your sight. Choose to build your sight because through it, you stand.
DECLARATION
I am building my sight daily; I refuse to faint. I know the importance of the ministry committed to my trust.
