Thursday Daily Devotional By Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet 23rd June, 2016) - Prosperity Mindset
“And thou say in thine heart, My power and the
might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. But thou shalt remember
the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth,
that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as
it is this day.” Deuteronomy 8:17-18
Every God-child that desires prosperity has got to first understand that wealth is not a luxury for Sons of God but a necessity.
Through prosperity, God’s kingdom will be spread abroad. This means that our prosperity is directly proportional to the expansion of the kingdom of God.
God is business minded and as such, He does not waste investment.
God searches the heart of man and He knows those of His children that would use the finances He let pass through their hands for His kingdom and not lavish it for themselves.
A God-child with the kingdom expansion mindset would be very prosperous.
Scripture says in Philippians 2:5, “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” Jesus had the kingdom expansion mindset in Him and as such He was kingdom oriented. All He did was for the benefit of the kingdom.
Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” The promise is made that if we seek the kingdom first, and its righteousness, all earthly wants and material things will be supplied to us. When you seek first the kingdom, you make it first in importance.
That is, it ought to be at the top in your scale of preference. Everything else must give way before its demands. It should always be in your heart.
Choose to have a kingdom expansion mindset and see your life progress on and on.
DECLARATION
I have got the mindset of Christ. I am kingdom inclined.
SCRIPTURAL REFERENCE
Luke 12:31
