Friday Daily Devotional By Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet 24th June, 2016) - Scatter On Good Grounds

Scatter On Good Grounds
“There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.” Proverbs 11:24

Giving is one of the principles God has set down to bless His people.

Yet most Christians fail to take advantage of this principle because it sounds foolish to them. 1 Corinthians 1:27 says, “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.”

The things which the world see as something with little or no significance, that is what God uses to confound those who think they are wise.

God’s word would never sound right to the wisdom of men. He clearly said His ways are not our ways neither are His thoughts our thoughts.

From our opening scripture, we see that withholding what God has placed in your hands leads to poverty.

It cramps man’s ingenuity and industry, weakens his interest, and forfeits the blessings of God on His life. God wants to bless you with so much more than you could possibly imagine. But He requires you to give out that one in your hands so He could bless you with more.

The biggest and surest ground to give is to give to the work of the Lord. There is no better soil for your seed to grow. No man goes into partnership with God and remains empty. God never uses to dump, He uses to bless. Never withhold your finances from God.
