Wednesday Daily Devotional By Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet 1st June, 2016) - Prosperity Link
“Riches and honor are with me: yea, durable riches and righteousness” Proverbs 8:18

The prosperity of a natural man is tied to the economic situation of a nation.

That is, a change in the economy would affect him as well. But this ought not to be for the God-child. This cannot be for everyone and anyone who has discovered purpose in Christ. By reason of the finished work of Christ, we have been birthed into a life of durable prosperity.

3 John 1:2 says, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”. This scripture shows us that it is God’s utmost desire that we prosper.
The prosperity of God transcends the world’s definition.

Deuteronomy 8:17-18 says, “And thou say in thine heart, my power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. But thou shall remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day”. Our prosperity link is Christ. In Him lies our prosperity.

John 1:14 shows us that Christ is the Word made flesh. Therefore, our prosperity lies in the Word. The more of the Word we receive, the more prosperous we become.

A synergy of the Word and the Spirit of God is what is needed to be prosperous. The Spirit of God is resident in our hearts; when we receive the Word, results must be produced. Prosperity is your birthright in Christ.

Never give thought to poverty or failure. 2 Corinthians 8:9 says, “For we know the grace of our lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty may be rich”.

DECLARATION
I am prosperous. My prosperity lies in Christ.
