Tuesday Daily Devotional By Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet 19th July, 2016) - You Are A Soldier

“Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” 2 Timothy 2:3 

2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (AMP) completely defines the impregnability of the life of a God-child.

“We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed in every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair; We are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted [to stand alone]; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed;” 

A soldier on a mission never gives up. Irrespective of what the enemy throws at him, he keeps at the mission. This is why it is often said that a man on missions for the lord cannot be killed.

And the Apostle Paul, the writer of the book of Corinthians is an example of this truth. 

Realize that God sees us as soldiers. 

The day we gave our lives to the Lord, He enlisted us in His army. A soldier aims at fulfilling the mission.

It doesn't matter the number of battles fought; a true soldier is always back on the mission field once there is a call for him to be. 

The God-child has got to adopt this mentality when it comes to God's work; there is no backing out. You might be pulled, stretched, pressed or bent, but you can never be defeated unless you give up. You would always emerge stronger, better and refined as gold. As a missionary you have got to be resistant to pressure, immovable and firm. 

You can't be struck out or destroyed. No challenge can keep you from accomplishing your mission. All you need do is stand strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.

DECLARATION
I am resilient, undeterred and firm in the face of challenges. I am coming out stronger and refined.
