Saturday Daily Devotional By Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet 30th July, 2016) - You Are Their Last Hope

DAVID OKOYE
“For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea woe is unto me, If I preach not the gospel.” 1 Corinthians 9:16

I often wonder how The Apostle felt when he wrote this verse. Many Christians are very comfortable being the “Sunday’ type of Christian. They are very comfortable with just going to church on Sunday and fitting in with the world Monday to Friday.

While there are some others that have gone beyond this level to being content with their positions and leadership placement in the church. For these ones, the work of the ministry is normal. They don't even remember to reach out to the lost- which is the reason for their calling, or even intercede in prayers for others.

Until a God-child gets to the point where the heartbeat of God becomes his all consuming desire, passion and drive, he would never fully access the bounties of the kingdom. For the one who seeks first the kingdom of God and its expansion will have everything he needs added to him.

MORE: The Life Of Success - Pastor David Okoye

In 1 Timothy 1:11 we come to discover that God’s message of salvation has been entrusted to us. We've been made custodians of the Gospel and it is a necessity, that we spread the news of God's saving power and eternal plan for mankind to all of mankind. You don't know how much time you have and the number of souls that are tied to you for their salvation. You don't know how many the devil is gaining grounds on and feasting on because you have not taken up your place as the Son of the Most High God.

“if I proclaim the message, it's not to get something of it for myself. I'm compelled to do it, and doomed if I don't…”1 Corinthians 9:16, (MSG).

PRAYER
Lord, thank you for the opportunity to be a labourer in your vineyard. I am committed to accomplishing all that has been set before me.
