Wednesday Daily Devotional By Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet 13th July, 2016) - Be An Active Partner

“He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.” Luke 11:23 

Partnership is the association of two or more people to conduct a business. 

And while in most partnership there are active and passive partners where many take up more physical responsibilities for the growth of the business, every partner is an intricate part of the success story of the business. 

The business of The Father is no different. Everyone is a part of the business of the Lord. 

It is interesting to note that in our partnership with the Lord there are equally passive and active partners, where we are active and passive partners and The Lord is an active and passive partner in the Work.

We are active because The Lord is not physically present for the work of soul winning but instead commits the responsibility of reaching out to the unsaved to us and is thus the passive partner. 

And we are passive because truly the Work of soul winning is the Work of the Spirit of God. 

He is the One who convicts, saves and delivers through us as vessels. For this reason scripture tells “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord of Hosts. Zechariah 4:6. 

Not realizing this, many of God’s children seek to stand aloof and go unnoticed in the work of the Lord. They consider it the work of a few in the house of God. 

There can never be any middle ground. 

The MSG rendering of our opening text makes it clearer “This is war, and there is no neutral ground. If you're not on my side, you're the enemy; if you're not helping, you are making things worse.” 

DECLARATION

I'm obedient to the call. I am involved in the work – refusing to be neutral. I'm neither cold nor lukewarm. I remain fervent.
