Sunday Daily Devotional By Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet 17th July, 2016) - Constantly Stirred Up

David Okoye
“That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man.” Ephesians 3:16

There is a popular song that says “sometimes you have to encourage yourself in the Lord.” As you walk with The Lord, there will be times you might begin to become weak in your spirit man. At this point, the God-child would search for the fervency he once had serving the Lord and would seem not to find it.

Not necessarily because he had sinned, but he would find that his fervency and fire serving the Lord is not as it should be. He would find himself struggling to do the same things he is accustomed to doing for the Lord. If this God-child is not learned, the devil will get him to believe that God has turned His back on him, or that he is no longer a Child of God. But this is not true.

In our opening text scripture tells to “be strengthened with might by His Spirit in our inner man.” Note that you will not have need to be strengthened if you were never weak.

So the Father knows that there are times in your life when you will need strengthening. And, in John 14:27 (AMP), Scripture gives one of the qualities of The Spirit of God we have received as the Strengthener. Meaning, that the Holy Ghost that resides inside of you, is your strengthener; He strengthens you and maintains that strength.

Oh! Little wonder, The Apostle Paul admonished Timothy to continually stir up the gift of God in him.

The Spirit of God is the most precious gift that has been given to the church. When you get to such points where you think you can't go on, don't give up. Instead, take some time and stir the waters within you. Speak in tongues, listen to messages or spirit lifting songs. Always remember that God's strength is made perfect in your weakness.

He doesn't condemn your weakness but remaining in that state is dangerous for you.

DECLARATION
I won't give up in my down times. I am strengthened and my strength is maintained by God's Spirit. His strength is made perfect in my weakness. Glory to God!
