Monday Daily Devotional By Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet 5th September, 2016) - Your Place Of Greatness

"At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus saying 'who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven”. Matthew 18:1

For the disciples to have asked Jesus such a question, it proves to show that there must have been a silent tussle of authority amongst them.


One thing heaven doesn't have but is fully present and experienced on earth is collision of authority. The response of our Lord Jesus shows us God's heart concerning the matter “and Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, and said, verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven” Matthew 18:2-4. 
 
Every man desires to be great. God begins to show the focus a man should have in his quest for greatness. First, that man has got to be born-again. 

Our place of greatness is in God. 

Secondly, in a man's quest for greatness, his attitude will determine his success. God shows us how; Humility and service. God encourages greatness; otherwise He would not have shown us the way. Your greatness lies in your place of humility, for “God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble” James 4:5.

In the house of God, Respect is paramount and so is humility. Respect to the proper offices especially to your man of God always triggers blessings into your life. 

Romans 13:7 says "render therefore to all their dues; tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour." 

DECLARATION
I choose to walk in respect to everyone around me, I have a humble spirit, and am operating under the grace of God.
