Edo Governorship Election: See How Benin-Lagos Expressway Look Like This Morning

This is how the very busy Benin-Lagos expressway is like this morning. We are apparently witnessing scanty vehicular movement because of the State governorship election holding today.

According to report, very early this morning, at around 7am, there was heavy presence of armed security men including the Military, Police and Civil defence escorting election officials and materials to their various wards and units in readiness for the election.

Security agents also were seen in key areas around Benin to prevent breakdown of law and order in the state. Commuters are stranded and walk several kilometres to get to their destination.

Shops around Benin axis is under locks and keys because of the public holiday declared in the state.

We want to wish our Edo state brethren a peaceful and successful election as they go to poll.
