Tuesday Daily Devotional By Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet 27th September 2016) - Have The Right Focus

“Therefore if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much more clothe you. O ye of little faith? Matthew 6:30

Matthew 6:22 tells “the light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light” The GW rendering says “the eye is the lamp of the body. So if your eye is unclouded, your whole body will be full of light.” The focus of the God-child is of utmost importance. His perception, outlook and insight determine his future.

Your vision determines your focus, your focus determines your pursuit, your pursuit determines your destination and in extension your end.

Refuse to limit the Spirit of God in your life. Unfortunately, many can't see beyond their achievements. They are forever reliving their accomplishments days, months, and even years ago.

In Philippians 3:13 Paul shows the right attitude to have “Brothers and sisters, I can't consider myself a winner yet. This is what I do: I don't look back, I lengthen my stride” Never think you have achieved anything especially in your walk with the Lord.

There is always much more to do. Never focus on the things you need either. As you walk with the Lord, He always provides.

Little wonder the scripture says, “To seek, aim at and strive after first of all His kingdom, and His way of doing things and all the things the world seeks after shall be taken together and given to you”.

So always seek (attempt to find, try to achieve and put your effort into) the kingdom of God.
