Ghana's President John Mahama has conceded defeat to the opposition candidate Nana Akufo-Addo in the just concluded 2016 general elections.
In a tweet the president-elect, Nana Akufo Addo, stated: "A few minutes ago, I received a call from President @JDMahama congratulating me on winning the 2016 Presidential Election. #ChangeHasCome"

The country is eagerly awaiting official results but Electoral
Commissioner Charlotte Osei said they would be announced by Saturday
once technical issues had been resolved.
