Eidur Gudjohnsen, Ronaldinho offers to play for Chapecoense

Former Chelsea striker Eidur Gudjohnsen has offered to play for Chapecoense after last week’s Colombia plane crash led to the Brazilian club losing the majority of their squad.

Ronaldinho is among the players who have offered their services to Chapecoense, with the former Barcelona star currently a free agent.

‘I do not know whether there would be a game or some kind of link, but later on if there is contact, we can talk,’ the Brazilian’s brother and agent, Roberto Assis, told Globo Esporte last week.

‘I can only say that we are here and we want to help.’

And now Gudjohnsen, who played alongside Ronaldinho at Barca for two seasons, insists he would also be ready to help the Brazilian club.

Gudjohnsen spent two seasons with Ronaldinho at Barca.

The 38-year-old is currently a free agent after leaving Norwegian side Molde in August.
