2 Dead As Ikeja Police College Collapsed On Christmas Day (PHOTOS)

A Police College in Ikeja, Lagos, on Christmas day, collapsed leaving two dead, one identified as a sergeant.

Two people have been confirmed dead, while many trapped after a building collapsed at Police College, Ikeja, Lagos, on Sunday.

According to an eyewitness, the tragic incident occurred at W Block of the barracks within the college.

Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) Lagos state command, Dolapo Badmos, said that one of the buildings in the barracks partially collapsed.

"It is said that we lost two occupants of the building. They were making use of the staircase when it collapsed."

Adebayo Kehinde, spokesman of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), confirmed the incident.

“It is true that two person died in a partial building collapse at the Police College. I don’t have the full information, but I will issue a statement in 30 minutes,” he told newsmen.
