Uyo Church Collapse: Gov Udom Orders Immediate Arrest Of Contractors, Declares Two Days Of Mourning
Akwa Ibom state governor, Emmanuel Udom, who gracefully escaped death at the Uyo Church collapse yesterday, has declared 2 days of mourning for victims of the Reigners Bible Church collapse.
The governor also ordered immediate arrest of the project contractors handling the building project of the collapsed church.
Today, Sunday 11th and Monday 12th December 2016 have been fixed as the days of mourning for the victims of the collapse Church building at Reigners Bible Church International in Uyo the state Capital.
A release signed by the
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Mr Ekerete Udoh states that all
flags are to be flown half mast within the state during the days of
mourning.
The days of mourning will be rounded off on Monday 12th December 2016 by 4.pm with a Solemn Assembly to be held at the Banquet Hall, Government House Uyo.
The state Government therefore urges all citizens to pray for the speedy recovery of those injured in the building collapse.
