Cameroon beat Egypt to clinch 5th AFCON title

Cameroon defeated Egypt on Sunday, February 5 to win the 2017 African Cup of Nations.


Vincent Aboubakar’s brilliant late goal gave Cameroon a deserved victory over a defensive Egypt - and their first Afcon triumph in 15 years.


The Indomitable Lions came from a goal behind to defeat their opponent and win the tournament for the 5th time.

It’s the first time Egypt have been defeated in the final since 1952 and Cameroon now become the second most successful side in the tournament’s history.
