This Picture of 'ghost girl' sparks huge debate in New York town

But it turned out it wasn’t.
The youngster was actually real and was out with her granddad at the time.
In hindsight the blurry picture was probably too good to be true but that didn’t stop the residents of Cambridge, New York, from speculating.
‘I think it’s a ghost,’ a local told ABC Albany affiliate WTEN-TV.
Another added: ‘There’s some creepy stuff in this town.’
Her grandfather confirmed she was real after the landowner, who took the image with a trail camera, had made an appeal to identify the youngster.
Cambridge Police Chief George Bell said: ‘I don’t want to give a name until we verify it, but it’s a local businessman in southern Washington County who says, around the time frame that this picture was taken, that he and his granddaughter were walking a four-wheeler path.’

The confirmation the little girl was real meant the residents of Cambridge could sleep well and did not have to worry about ghost children.
The Cambridge Police Department also said it was happy to discover the truth.
