Sunday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet, 30th July, 2017) - Your eyes of faith
“For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance”. 2 Corinthians 5:7 AMP
Isaiah 55:10-11 (AMP) makes us understand how God sees His words, He said
“For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, so shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I PLEASE and PURPOSE, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”Note that there is a pleasing and a purpose, which means that one has to be in sync with God; doing His will (soul winning) and having a relationship with Him.
This becomes particularly important for the Godchild in this day and age. Our world, systems of education and everything around us teaches that conviction, is dependent on proof but with God the opposite stands true.
He doesn't want you to wait till it has been proven; He wants you to believe as He has spoken.
“Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants and quickly respond to it. unlike the culture around you. always dragging you down to it’s level...God brings the best out of you...”When God asked Abraham to leave his father's land to a land He would show him, Abraham didn't start by asking where the land was situated which would have been the first thought line of many, instead, he ran with the instruction.
When others are saying there is a casting down, the Godchild ought to say there is a lifting up, not because he has seen the lifting up but because he operates by a different set of rules.
You talk to become; you are the replica of the words you have spoken about yourself.
DECLARATION:
I use my tongue wisely; I am what God says I am. I do not conform to the standard of the world. I see through the eyes of faith.
