Thursday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Diet, 20th July, 2017) - Declare
“Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.” Isaiah 60:4
Oh! How I love the Lord.
He leads us in triumphant procession as sweet smelling savour of His splendor and victory in every place, You see, the one that serves the Lord can never be disadvantaged.
It does not matter how you want to look at it, I serve a Faithful God.
God assured Apostle Paul of this fact when he was in Corinth. Acts 18:10 says,
“For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee, for I have much people in this city.”
The next verse goes on to tell us, that Paul stayed in the city for a year and six months.
As we serve the Lord and go on missions/work for the Lord, there is always provision already in place for us.
For every Mission/work that God gives a man, there are persons that have been strategically placed in that sphere of work to aid the man in the work.
God will never give you a vision or task that you can accomplish on your own. You will always need persons to help you accomplish the mission.
Looking at the above scripture, you can tell that Paul’s success wouldn't have been possible if the "much people" weren't there to help him.
People have been made available to you. Do You know how you locate them? You locate them through the eyes of the Spirit, and pray them towards your direction.
Our opening text says,
“Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee...”
This invariably means that if you do not see them through the eyes of the Spirit, they won't come to you.
It is also important to note that they won’t all come refined or renewed, so that neigbour beside you, who you think is not qualified, might just be what you need.
You will have to travail till Christ is formed in them. This means training and praying for them till you see Christ in them as He is in you. This is how you birth sons.
True sons will see the mission through till the end even in your absence.
Don't rest on your oars, waiting for God to 'miraculously' bring them your way. Lift up your eyes round about: see them, pray for them and train them!
DECLARATION:
I birth capable sons in every nation. There is no stopping us–through us, the Gospel is getting to the ends of the earth. Hallelujah!
