Edo state set to host first Industry Night featuring Gov Godwin Obaseki, Cynthia Morgan, Waje, Pikolo, I Go Dye, More

Saturday 19th of August will be a day to remember, as Edo state will host her first ever Entertainment Industry Night. 

This is just another moment to shine in the eyes of up and comers in Nigeria’s Billion dollar music industry. At 6:00pm on that special day to entertainers in the state, stars even from Lagos will flood the scene with their presence. 

Waje, Cynthia Morgan, Sir Victor Uwaifo, Fabomo, I Go Dye, Maleke, I Go Save, Lim Jay, Pikolo (The Convener), Godwin Obaseki (The Executive Governor of Edo State), Nas T, Melvyn T, Oligbese, others, among those to grace the event.

According to the convener, Mr. Daniel Eremosele also known as Pikolo, The Edo State Entertainment Industry Night is a first step of uniting Edo state entertainers.

This is a first step towards harmonizing, unifying and re-branding the Edo State Entertainment sector. The job of building the industry is a collective effort of each and every one of us, and we are all stakeholders in the re-branding process. As stakeholders, we must remain committed towards taking Entertainment to the next level in the state.

The Industry Night would be bringing Edo sons and daughters together from all walks of life and awards would be presented to key personalities and contributors to Entertainment in the state.

As we all know, Entertainment is the bedrock for Economic growth in any state, as it attracts investors, encourages tourism and also empowers the youths, by creating employment, so the Executive Governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki has given an official approval of the event. Below is a letter of approval from the governor.

Pikolo said:

This project of rebuilding Edo Entertainment Industry should be everyone's responsibility especially those in the business of Entertainment. What would you be remembered for? What contributions have you made to the development of our home entertainment industry? To what extent do you understand the industry? This are questions we all have to answer.

Pikolo added that the Industry night in Edo state is a call to rescue Entertainment in Edo State...

As we both know that the industry which is now in carcass was one time the peak of Entertainment in the country. and I believe with our united and collective efforts, we can restore the lost glory of the state. Remember August 18th & 19th is sacrosanct. It is a date we all have to show our love and respect for this great industry. Talk about it to people because it is your industry. He said
