Monday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 14th AUG, 2017) - Intelligent Service

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” Romans 12:1

The AMP rendering of our opening text says,

“I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of (all) the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies (presenting all your members and faculties) as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship” 

Your service to God ought to be intelligent; that is, it has to be excellent.

Only those who serve intelligently would be able to offer reasonable service to God.

When your service to God is not excellent, you just offered unreasonable service.

A man who serves intelligently understands the importance of service.

The only way for your life to get serviced is by you serving. Any service you render in God's house that is not intelligent is null and void. Such a service is equated to nothing.

It is God's utmost desire to bless and prosper you, but He can only do that when you serve. God locates you at the place of your service.

This is why you must find a place to serve in God's house. God seeks for those who would offer to Him an intelligent and rational service.

You should not serve God the way you want or give him a criterion to serve Him.

A service is termed reasonable when the one being served is satisfied and contented with the service offered.

Until God finds your service satisfactory, you are yet to serve.

It is not your place to determine if the service you rendered is reasonable. If you do so, you just offered unreasonable service.

God seeks and delights in a reasonable service. For every time you serve God, ensure you do so intelligently; only then would you reap the benefits of the service you offered.

DECLARATION:
I am a love-slave to God; therefore, I take joy in serving. I offer reasonable, intelligent and excellent service to God.
