Saturday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 26th AUG, 2017) - Absolute trust

Pastor David Okoye
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5

God seeks for those who would trust Him with reckless abandon even when things seem to be going wrong. He looks for those who would trust Him totally with absolutely no reserves.

Daniel 3:16-18 says,
“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”

Oh, what trust they had in God!

So many Christians today require a sign from God first before they would obey his instructions and trust Him. This ought not to be.

Get to that point in your life where you can totally trust in God without the supernatural happening first.

Abraham never required a sign before blindly and faithfully following God's Word and instructions for his life however absurd they sounded. His obedience was counted to him as righteousness.

Jesus said in John 16:31,
“Jesus answered them. Do ye now believe?”
It is sad to know that after all the disciples had witnessed of Jesus firsthand, they still didn't trust Him enough. It took Jesus to speak in a certain way before they finally believed.

Be that kind of man that will follow God blindly with trust. Don't wait until something happens to prove to you that God is God.

One thing worthy of note in our Christian race is the fact that our lives can never be rid of challenges. Challenges are bread for the Godchild and only tend to bring out the best in them and set them on course for a new phase.

Every phase of our Christian life comes with its own set of challenges.

Until you go through them, you can't be refined. Understand how God functions with us as Christians. As you go through these challenges, learn to trust wholly and without reserves.

DECLARATION:
I have absolute trust in God. I trust without reserve. I see good in every challenge.

SCRIPTURAL REFERENCE:
Job 13:15
