Tuesday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 19th SEPT, 2017) - Develop a vision
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. James 1:25
The MSG rendering of our opening text says,
But whoever catches a glimpse of the revealed counsel of God--the free life!-even out of the corner of his eye, and sticks with it, is no distracted scatterbrain but a man or woman of action. That person will find delight and affirmation in the action.
The word vision refers to the redemptive revelation of Christ. Proverbs 29:18 (AMP) says,
Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [of God, which includes that of man]--blessed (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he.
The above text shows that your ability to live is by first developing a vision. Any man without a vision is as dead as he is alive. Developing a vision is the start point of a man's success. You can never be successful without a vision.
Your vision (realistic vision) propels you for success.
Habakkuk 2:2 says,
And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make [it] plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
As you develop your vision, be sure to make it plain enough. You then have a responsibility to add value to your vision.
Your environment as well as your disposition about your vision would help you add value to it. If your environment depicts unproductivity, you would be able to add little or no value to your vision. Create the right environment for you vision to be well developed.
Start developing your vision; it is your life.
DECLARATION:
I develop my vision daily, as I look into the perfect law of liberty. I am running with it.
