IPOB: Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer sues Nigerian Army, demands client’s whereabouts
Ifeanyi Ejiofor in an interview with Vanguard said he does not know the whereabouts of the IPOB leader.
He also said his only contact with Kanu was a few minutes before the Nigerian army invaded his client's residence.
The lawyer said Kanu had called on the phone to tell him about the military operation in his residence by some soldiers.
He also said he would not be surprised if the federal government moves against those who stood surety for Kanu, although the burden lies on the Nigerian government to produce his client.

Coordinator laments on social media “The last time I spoke with my client was the day his house was invaded by soldiers. He called me and complained that he was being attacked by soldiers who he said were shooting sporadically. Since then, I have not heard from my client again.
“If he is alive, they should tell the court on that day. They will not only explain to the trial court but will also produce the soldiers that went to his home to attack him," Ejiofor said.
We earlier reported that the presidency said sureties who stood for Kanu's bail stand the risk of imprisonment. The presidency through the special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on prosecution Okoi Obono-Obla said the court might also issue an arrest warrant for the IPOB leader.
