Tuesday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 17th OCT, 2017) - Faithfulness

Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover, it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. 1 Corinthians 4:1-2

Every single thing you have and that you are, you didn’t get and achieve by your power. They were committed into your hands, for you to make use of (at your discretion), but to later give an account of.

Take a look at the underlined part of our opening text, “…that a man be found faithful…” You see, one of the most fundamental principles for growth is faithfulness. When a man is unfaithful or considered unfaithful, he will never grow.

Faithfulness could either shut or open doors.

You see, faithfulness is not considered in big things. Scripture tells in Luke 16:10,
He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

Your faithfulness is proven in the little things; the seemingly irrelevant things. If you cannot be faithful with that $1, you cannot be faithful with a million dollars. God measures with the little things.

As a steward, God would keep testing your faithfulness. The more you prove yourself, the more He increases the test. For every increase, He gives you more blessings.

So many Christians do not pass the tests that God puts them through. Matthew 24:45 says,
Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

Jesus is a master communicator. You see, when God considers you faithful and wise, He commits His household to you. This is the reason why so many Christians are where they are. God would never commit His household (His blessings) to a steward who is not faithful and wise.

The wealth of the entire world belongs to God, and He has the power to commit this wealth into the hands of a steward that is faithful and wise.

The blessings of God on your life are God's trust on you. If God can only find you faithful, the blessings would be conferred on you.

The supreme quality required in stewardship is fidelity; it is an indispensable and cardinal virtue. God would always commit more to the faithful and wise servant.

DECLARATION:
I am faithful, and I am wise. The blessings of God are at work in me because I am a faithful servant.
