Wednesday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 11th OCT, 2017) - Getting results with God's Word

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. John 15:1-2

There is a limitation that a lot of Christians have. Overtime, if this is not addressed, it becomes catastrophic for that Christian.

It is God’s greatest desire that His Word produces in our lives. He totally rejects unfruitfulness; of whatever kind or sort. For every time you hear the Word of God, God expects that you come back with results from the Word.

Take as a case study, the parable of the talents. The master went on a journey and gave His three servants different talents. He gave the first servant five talents, the second, two talents and the third, one talent (Matthew 25:14-28). When the Master returned, scripture tells us that He wasn’t interested in the talents, but the produce of the talents. He was concerned about the results of the talents, not the talent itself.

God holds every one of us accountable for every single Word we hear from His Spirit. For every Word we hear that we do not produce results with, it brings God to that place of either deciding to cut us out or to purge us so that we can produce more.

It hurts God deeply to have His children not produce with the Word of God.

You see, God cannot keep speaking to you when you are not using the one He has previously spoken to you. He doesn’t run like that. He wants to see the results of every single Word you have received before He can go further with you.

In my walk with God, I have come to discover that sometimes, God gives an instruction about what you have to do. When you do not do it, He wouldn’t give you any further instruction. If you do not produce by God’s Word, He would cut you out. When you produce by His Word, (no matter how little it may be) you will discover the increase of God.

Colossians 2:19 says,

And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. 

The increase of God is nothing like the increase of man. It is an exponential increase. Only those who produce results from God’s Word get to experience it.

DECLARATION:
I am bearing fruits in a thousand folds. I am a productive Son! God’s Word is producing tremendously in me.
