Wednesday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 4th OCT, 2017) - Walk till the end

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11

God has a thought line for you. The above text shows that God has you on His mind. You see, so many Christians have been made to believe that God has forgotten or forsaken them. This is absolutely wrong! He never stops thinking of you.

For scriptures didn’t say,

For I know the thoughts that I thought toward you… 

rather, it says

…that I think toward you. 

You are always on His mind. You see, there is a plan that He has designed for you and He wants you to get there.

There is an expected end for the Godchild. Sadly, so many Christians do not make it to the end. The only way you would make it to that end is by allowing God lead you.

Psalms 23:1 says,

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

A Shepherd protects, guides, and leads His flock. The sheep may not know where they are going, but the shepherd does. He knows the very place that is best for His flock. The sheep may wander alone for years and never get there; but once it allows itself to be directed by the Shepherd, it arrives at that end. Decide today to allow God direct your life; let God be your shepherd.

You would never make it to that end on your own. The way may be rough, but decide to walk with God till the very end. The way never justifies the end!

If you would live a fulfilled life, you must live and walk in accordance with the will of God (His patterns and thought line).

Only those who submit themselves to the Lordship of God’s Spirit would make it to that glorious end. You submit to His Lordship by recognizing the voice of God through His Word. Realizing God’s voice over your life ought not to be difficult.

A sheep never forget the voice of His Shepherd. If you would successfully walk till the end, you must eliminate every inch of SELF in you.


There is a self in every man, and until you learn to subject that self to the obedience of God’s Spirit, you wouldn’t get to that expected end.

Those who walk in accordance to God’s plan are always garrisoned by peace. Those who walk till the end have a glory unimaginable awaiting them.

DECLARATION:
I walk in accordance to God’s will. I teach my SELF to be obedient to the Lordship of God’s Spirit. I am walking till the very end.
