Monday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 9th OCT, 2017) - Plan, Organise, Structure

Pastor David Okoye
And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass. And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties. Mark 6:39-40

This is the second principle of multiplication. It is the principle of organization and planning. If God would multiply what is in your hands, you must structure and organize it.

No wise man would build a house without a plan; only fools do so. Until the plan is completed, the structure cannot be set up. In the same vein, in your walk with God and work for Him, He would not take you further until you’re done planning.

Take a look at our opening text; that was Jesus structuring and organizing (Mark 6:39-40). Do you know that if they had not sat in ranks of fifties and hundreds, the multiplication wouldn’t have occurred?

In the second account of Jesus feeding a multitude, He observed the same principle. The bread didn’t multiply until all men were seated according to the plan.

The planning process is exasperating. Imagine how wearisome it must have been for the disciples; how long it must have taken them to arrange over 5,000 hungry individuals in groups of hundreds and fifties.

Planning is a principle of the Spirit.

The Spirit of God would not manifest Himself until the planning is done excellently. Acts 1:16-17 says,
Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus. For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

He later goes on to say in verse 20,
For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.

Peter was one that understood the principle of planning. Notice that the Holy Ghost did not come down until Peter recognized that one disciple was absent (Judas Iscariot). He then had to structure well, and elect another to take the place of Judas.

The planning process must be detailed and plain (Habakkuk 2:2). Do not wait till the resources arrive before you start planning; plan as though you have everything you need.

Remember this, never plan by the size of what is in your hands; plan by the size of your vision.

DECLARATION:
Lord, I am detailed in everything I do. I have the Spirit of organization. I always plan right! I experience the miracle of multiplication.
