"Steal public money, go to jail" - President Buhari tells Nigerians

President Muhammadu Buhari has warned Nigerians to stay away from stealing public funds. The president warned that any public officers caught stealing public funds will face the law.


Buhari said this during a launching of a book on Thursday in Abuja;
We are all aware now that if you steal public funds and you are caught, you will face the law. Internationally, Nigeria is now a respected nation. I can’t keep up with invitations to visit other countries much less for other countries leaders that want to visit us. A number of world leaders are expressing the desire to visit Nigeria virtually on monthly basis.

Also in attendance were, VP Osibanjo, Bola Tinubu, John Oyegun, Tambuwal, SGF Boss Mustapha and many more attended a book launch by Media Section of the State House at the State Conference Centre Abuja.





The Presidential Media Team offers deep insight into how the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration is blocking corruption loopholes in the nation’s public institutions.

The book is titled, “Making Steady, Sustainable Progress for Nigeria’s Peace and Prosperity,A Mid-Term Scorecard on the President Muhammadu Buhari Administration.

In an excerpt of the 348-page publication, the team notes that beyond arrest and prosecution of suspects, the Buhari government is strengthening public institutions for accountability and transparency.

The book explores measures being instituted by anti-graft agencies, especially the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), in this regard since the last two years.
