You can't fire a revolutionary leader! Zanu PF is nothing without my father - Mugabe’s son

President Robert Mugabe's son on Sunday took to Facebook to post a defiant message that his father cannot be fired.

He posted this before his father’s speech on TV where he refused to step down.

Chatunga Bellamine Mugabe wrote on Facebook: 'You can't fire a Revolutionary leader! Zanu PF is nothing without President Mugabe.’

Using the name of Mugabe's clan, he added: 'Gushungo will always remain the champion of champions! 

'Proud of you Gushungo. Proud of Dad. Gushungo always and forever to death,’ Chatunga posted.

Robert Mugabe, 93, was widely expected to resign on Sunday night as he gave a speech from the capital Harare, but failed to do so.

ZANU-PF party on Sunday dismissed President Robert Mugabe. He will be replaced with former Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Chatunga Mugabe, 21, is known for lavish his party lifestyle, which he regularly flaunts on social media.

Last week Chatunga uploaded a video to Instagram showing himself pouring two bottles of $264 champagne over a $60,000 watch while out clubbing.
