Saturday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 16th DEC, 2017) - Wise goals

Pastor David Okoye
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God's] own [d]purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light. 1 Peter 2:9

Your purpose on earth ought to be to show forth God's praise. You show forth his praise by living in the fullness of who He has made you: A KING.

Act, talk, decree, understand and live like a king: then you show His praise. God expects that whatever you purpose in your heart has to be a display of excellence.

Your desire while setting goals ought to be to satisfy the master's demand. You have to set goals that reflect God in you.

A goal is termed "wise" when it reflects and radiates God.

Habakkuk 2:2 says,
And the LORD answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

Always write down your goals; make it plain! A goal that is written down is a goal in the heart. Get pictorial representations of your goals if possible.

Now, go write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come forever and ever Isaiah 30:8

Genesis 30:31-39 shows that there is a principle of "seeing and becoming". What you see has a way of making you.

A wise Christian would protect his environment because he knows its benefits. What you think of is a product of what you see. A man who sees possibility would think possibility and function in it. A man who sees failure would think unproductivity and as well function in it.

Guard your eyes. Let them see rightly. Set wise goals and fulfil the master's demand today.

DECLARATION:
I am seeing wise goals that are showing forth God through them. I see success; therefore I become a success.

SCRIPTURAL REFERENCE:
