Saturday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 30th DEC, 2017) - A skillful scribe

My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee forever. Psalms 45:1-2

You see, for several years, the above scripture has been a blessing to me. The emphasis on writing your life with your tongue cannot be overlooked by any child of God that intends to make progress in this life on earth.

Life would never give you what you deserve; life will give you what you negotiate for. You see, the script of your life can only be determined by you.

Another translation says,

A marvellous word has stirred my heart as I mention thy works to the king. My tongue is the pen of a skilful scribe.

Now look at the next verse, it says,

You are the most handsome of men; grace has been poured out on your lips. No wonder God has blessed you forever

Oh! The realities of this ought to change your life forever. The realisation that the words of sheer grace from your skilful scribe (your tongue) is the connection to the life of God for your life. Let your heart continually indict a good matter, for out of the abundance of your heart, your mouth will speak.

DECLARATION:
My tongue ever speaks words of grace; I speak of things of royalty. I am blessed of the Lord.
