"The Wedding Party 2" Earned N20 Million On Opening Day At Cinemas

Newly released Nigeria's blockbuster movie 'The Wedding Party 2', has reportedly earned N20Million at its opening day at the cinemas, nationwide.

The movie was released in cinemas yesterday, Friday 15th December 2017. Actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, one of the A-list actors who featured in the movie, shared the news on Instagram with a captioned;

Recall The Wedding Party part 1 doubled the previous record of the most tickets sold by a Nigerian movie and keeps going, netting over N400m at the box office.

In December 2016, the Nollywood box-office record stood at N178.5 million. The Wedding Party, on 16th December, racked up N203 million in just two weeks, to top the Nigerian box office for 2016 and become the highest-grossing Nollywood film in history.
