Sunday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 21st JAN. 2018) - Partner with God
Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion... Zechariah 1:17
In the world today, so many controversies have risen as a result of the body of Christ, and finances. Everywhere you go, you would always hear something about the particular subject matter.
You see, financial capacity is the motion field for the Gospel to ride on. Look at our opening text; God is letting us know, that His cities would circulate through our prosperity.
My prosperity and your prosperity is the determinant to how far the Gospel would spread. Don't be that kind of Christian that believes his partnership with God is simply a scheme for the body of Christ
to swindle him.
God is showing us, through His Word, that the expansion of His Kingdom is directly proportional to our prosperity. That is to say, once the Kingdom of God increases, the prosperity of a God-child, who partners with God would also increase.
The moment you stopped partnering with God, you started hampering the Gospel. You see, in life, I have come to discover that there is no middle ground. The finance of every individual answer to an
altar.
That is, all finance that goes through your hands empowers one of two things; the Gospel, or the devil. Scripture says, if you do not gather with God, you scatter. Luke 16:10 says,
He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
In partnering with God, the quality and consistency of your giving are what matters most to Him. God is not after the quantity! Never think your partnership is so little to create any impact. The benefits of partnering with God are enumerable. I have had and heard so many testimonies regarding it.
Partnering with God is a means to be blessed by God. For example; when you have something in both hands, and then someone comes to you, to give you something better than what you already have. You must first let go of that in your hands, to receive that in His hands. A partnership is a quick labour for a great reward.
DECLARATION
Lord, I choose to partner with you. I refuse to hamper the Gospel; I am doing much more for God! I am faithful and consistent.
