Monday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 19th March 2018) - Be Productive

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit He taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit John 15:2

Reading from the preceding verse of our opening text, we see that we are the branches, Christ is the vine and the Father is the husbandman.

Revelations 3:15-16 shows us something important about God
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: i would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth

The AMP rendering puts the underlined part as,
Would that you were cold or hot!

Did you notice the exclamation mark! Meaning that the implications of this verse should not be taken lightly; it is noteworthy for the God-child. God needs you to be productive. He fully set against any manner of unproductivity.

The word 'fruit' in our opening scripture can be interchanged with the word result. This ought to check mate you every time of your life. Always assess yourself to see if you are profiting the kingdom of God.

Anytime you don't bear results, you are in danger of being cut off. You've got to profit the kingdom with the Word of God. God expects you to be productive.

To ensure your productivity, He has equipped you and empowered you for life. One might say,
I have so many challenges in life, how can it be that God has equipped me to be productive.

You see, that's where the problem is. Many instead of setting their gaze on the one that has called them, they look at their physical accomplishments and abilities.

This is one of the reasons why most Christians fail. You've got to take advantage of the Spirit of God in you; He is all you need to succeed in life. Without Him, life is worth nothing.

DECLARATION
I am bearing results, I am fulfilling purpose and the demand placed on my life.
