Saturday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 3rd March, 2018) - You are a vessel

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His Good pleasure Philippians 2:13

Every God-child must come to know that he is a vessel of God. The scripture tells in 2 Timothy 2:20

but in a great house, there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour and some to dishonour

As members of the body of Christ, we are vessels; we are Gods way of reaching the world. 1 Corinthians 6:19 says,

What! Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is you, which you have of God, and you are not your own?

This scripture makes us know and understands that not only are we God's but we are His temple and
vessels on earth. As Jesus left, the body of Christ became His extension.

When Jesus died and resurrected, He birthed the church and now Jesus being the head is gone up. We (the body) are what people see because the head is gone. Christ is the head of the church, the firstborn.


When a woman wants to give birth to a child, the head of that child comes out first. If another part of that child comes out first, then something is wrong, that's why Jesus was born first among many that
were to come.

The body of a human is the extension of the head because the head controls every part. We are Christ's extension on earth; we know He's alive because His extensions are still operational on earth.

In everywhere you find yourself, always walk with the mindset that you are not just His vessel but His extension, you are Christ in a different place. Consciously choose to walk in this light.

I am Gods vessel and extension in the earth; therefore I walk in the light of this
