Tuesday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 17th April 2018) - Limitless 2
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things [are] possible to him that believeth. Mark 9:23
Yesterday, we saw that for a God-child to experience all possibilities in what he does, he must, first of all, believe. The believing would initiate the possibilities. But it is important to note that as much as believing is needed, it would not sustain the 'All Possibilities'.
The All Possibilities would be sustained only when the fire, power, and revelation you used to initiate would continue growing. Believing is never enough.
As you believe, you must go after the Word. Your focus and ability to go after the Word would bring to you your inheritance.
Acts 20:32 says,
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
You see, God's Word comes in two forms; the Word of His grace, and the Word of his power. The AMP rendering explains it further.
It says,
And now [brethren], I commit you to God [I deposit you in His charge, entrusting you to His protection and care]. And I commend you to the Word of His grace [to the commands and counsels and promises of His unmerited favor].
It is able to build you up and to give you [your rightful] inheritance among all God's set apart ones (those consecrated, purified, and transformed of soul).
Due to our study today, we would be focusing on the Word of his grace. The Words of His grace are those Words of promises.
They call God's expectations to you. As the Lord speaks to you this year, refer back to the Word of His grace. Know what God has said and focused on it.
Do not let the devil broaden your scope. If you allow him that entrance, you would eventually focus. Prayers would not deliver God's promises to you.
DECLARATION
I am limitless because the power of God at work in me is limitless. I focus on the Word at all times.
