Oluwatobilolba Amusan makes history as first Nigerian to win 100m hurdles at Commonwealth Games


Nigeria’s Oluwatobiloba Amusan has made history by becoming the first Nigerian to win gold at the Commonwealth Games 100m hurdles.


Amusan won gold in the women’s 100m hurdles ahead of two Jamaicans Danielle Williams and Yanique Thompson.

She clocked 12.68secs.

Williams came second to claim the silver medal in 12.78 seconds.

Thompson won the bronze medal in 12.97 seconds.


Amusan’s victory is Nigeria’s eighth gold medal of the Commonwealth Games.
