Zlatan Ibrahimovic reveals Manchester United mindset ahead of derby showdown vs Manchester City

Zlatan Ibrahimovic insists Jose Mourinho will go all out to stop Manchester City clinching the Premier League title on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola’s side will be crowned champions if they complete a derby double by beating United at the Etihad following their 2-1 win at Old Trafford earlier this season.

United can avoid the inevitable should they escape without defeat and Ibrahimovic, who left United last month for the MLS and LA Galaxy, revealed Mourinho lives for these kinds of scenarios.

‘I think they are pumped,’ Ibrahimovic told Sky Sports.

‘They are looking forward to a game like that because obviously City are ahead by many points and the rest of the league is not playing for the Premier League trophy.

‘They are playing for the Champions League and the places behind City so someone will want to give them a little shake like Liverpool did the other day.

‘I know the coach very well. He is very motivated for these kinds of games and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want them to become champions against him.

‘He’ll make sure of that.’
