Tuesday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 15th May 2018) - The bond of unity

Behold, how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! Psalms 133:1

The things that God will be achieving in our lives can be cut short by disunity, etc.

Most of God's children are not aware that these are the devil's tactics to ensure that the spirit of God loses His ability to effect the word of God in their lives.

The more the spirit tries to make the word manifest in their lives, the more the lacks productivity-due to disunity.

There is a difference between dwelling together and dwelling together in unity.

The emphasis in our text is in the unity. It is possible for two persons to live and do things together and not be united in their hearts.

The AMP version of Philippians 1:27 reads,
Only be sure as citizens so to conduct yourself (that) your manner of life (will be) worthy of the good news[the gospel] of Christ,... That you are standing firm in UNITED SPIRIT and PURPOSE, striving side by side and contending with a SINGLE MIND for the faith of the glad tidings (the gospel).

Unity is proven when believers operate with the same spirit, purpose and mind.

These three are your characteristics proof that you are a citizen of Zion. They ought to be your 'manner of life'.

Prove your citizenship by constantly dwelling in unity with fellow brethren. Always remember that you are a member/ part of the body of Christ.

If we are to partake of the blessing and life forevermore we must walk by the same rules and minds the same things.

Declaration
I am a citizen of Zion living by the rules of the kingdom of God. I make a conscious effort to dwell in unity always.
