Thursday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 3rd May 2018) - Build Your Faith

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. Jude 20

The MSG rendering of our opening text says,
But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit
Our opening scripture says, “…building up yourselves” This shows that the process is continuous.

It is not something that should be done monthly or annually; you have got to be consistent with building yourself up. Your faith is who you are. A lot of Christians are stunted in the building of their faith.

So many Christians remain in the foundation level for the rest of their lives. From our opening scripture, we see that for every time you pray in the Holy Ghost, you add blocks to your edifice of faith.

Your faith is equal to your victory. 1 John 5:4 tells us,
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

If you want more victory, you have to get more faith and you get more faith by praying in the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost has a lot of work to do in your life. This would only be done by praying in unknown tongues; you stir Him up whenever you do this.

When you speak in unknown tongues, you speak mysteries (that is, knowledge revealed). In the realms of the Spirit, there is an uncommon knowledge you get exposed to whenever you pray in the Holy Ghost.

1 Corinthians 14:4 tells us,
He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
Edifying yourself means building up yourself. You are the constructor of your life.

You choose what level you want to be by praying in the Holy Ghost. Praying in the Spirit sets you on track; you hit the spot. Whenever you pray in the Holy Ghost, you pray the exact will of the Father.

For every time you pray in unknown tongues, the Spirit of God takes the knowledge of God and dumps it in your Spirit. You get access to a hidden wisdom of God.
