Monday daily devotional by Pastor David Okoye (Ambassadors Word Diet, 7th May, 2018) - Your Path In Life

The path of the [uncompromisingly] just and righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines more and more (brighter and clearer) until [it reaches its full strength and glory] the perfect day [to be prepared]. Proverbs 4:18 (AMP)

The MSG translation of our text has this to say about righteous people:
…they glow with light; the longer they live, the brighter they shine.
Glory to God!

The new creation life is forward and upward only. It's a progressive life all the way.

Their life of today is brighter, better and more glorious compared to their yesterday. For these set of people, their lives go in a continuous progressive pattern just like the light of dawn that gets brighter as the day furthers on.

This ought to be the life of a Christian that knows who he is. This is what God has planned for those that will remain righteous and uncompromising in their faith.

The AMP says that we do not stop shining until our light reaches its full strength and glory – in the perfect day to be prepared. The perfect day (in which you literally stop shining) isn't yet here. This perfect day is the day of our Lord Jesus.

So as long as Jesus isn't here, your light will keep intensifying. This means that your brightness of today is the least of your shine. We ought to shine more every day whilst anticipating the perfect day.

You must remain uncompromising and blameless even though we are in a perverse and crooked generation. Be on the progressive – never stop shining. Keep brightening up the lives of those around you.

DECLARATION
I remain uncompromising in my faith. My brightness of today will be the least of my shine. My light will reach its full strength and glory even as I anticipate the perfect day.
